This course explores the unfolding and culmination of civilization in Greece, through key transformations of Greek culture and city-states from the Bronze Age up through the hellenization of the east.
A textbook is required for this course.

The rest of the readings are all posted here on the course website.

Our class meetings are once a week, on Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:40 p.m.

These meetings are in person in Carman Hall room 209.

Students are expected to come to each class having done the readings listed on the Schedule page.
